The Fairview Cemetery, also known as Herreid City Cemetery, is a final resting place for individuals. When walking through the cemetery, it can be noted that many veterans from the Civil War, Korean, World War I and World War II are buried on or near the hill. There are stones dated back as far as the 1800’s. The cemetery is maintained by hired individuals.

Directions: Arrive in the City of Herreid from either the north or the south on SD Highway 83, turn west onto 7th Ave W and travel approximately one-half mile, Fairview Cemetery is located on the south side of the street.
